Noise Control Officer means a person appointed by Council to be responsible for the administration of this Act, and in particular the Executive Director of Engineering, Environmental Services and Works and/or to be designated.
The noise control officer or noise control investigator may seek injunctive relief.
A violator may request an extension of the compliance deadline in an enforcement action from the Noise Control Officer or Noise Control Inspector. Responsibilities of Noise Control Officer:
Collaborates with a team to develop active, noise-canceling equipment and materials
Analyzes noise control systems to determine effectiveness by measuring actual sound reduction.
Reads and interprets technical drawings and diagrams.
Compares data with currently used designs and materials and reviews results.
Evaluates the cost of alternative designs or materials and compares the feasibility of those alternatives.
