Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Manager

                  In partnership with the management team and relevant stakeholders, the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Manager is in responsibility of creating the organization's WSH programs and developing the Workplace Safety and Health Management System. He or she has a strategic responsibility in making sure that the organization's commercial and operational concerns are in line with its WSH policy.
                   Through the evaluation of existing procedures and systems, as well as by keeping up with industry best practices and legal requirements, he or she works closely with colleagues in various departments to enable the efficient enforcement of WSH parameters throughout the organization. To be hired, he or she must have a relevant degree approved by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

Tasks
1. Examine the feasibility of projects for change management and workplace enhancements.
2. Evaluate the organization's nature and the WSH requirements and hazards that go along with it.
3. Distribute WSH positions and duties throughout departments and throughout the organization.
4. Assess vulnerabilities and hazards to determine potential emergency situations.
5. Create the components of the Workplace Safety and Health Management System (WSHMS).
6. Identify the WSH procedures and conditions that need to be regularly examined.
7. Create and update an Emergency Preparedness and Response Plan (EPRP) to account for changing hazards.
8. Create plans for the planning and use of resources.
9. To uphold WSH objectives, establish a WSH framework.
10. Drive adoption of WSH performance management strategies and methods to measure achievement of WSH objectives.
11. Encourage ownership by the organization's management team.
12. Establish WSH program parameters to achieve WSH objectives.
13. Create WSH initiatives to promote WSH policy.
14. Create methods and procedures for WSH incident and accident investigations.
15. Create the settings for WSH performance management.
16. Formulate a WSH policy in collaboration with team members.
17. Integrate the WSHMS with legal regulations.
18. Oversee a group of WSH experts.
19. Oversee the department's adherence to risk management procedures, rules, and frameworks.
20. Respond to critical emergency situations in coordination with the civil defense force and authorities.
